A name and a commitment:
With Heart and Soul
Makers of artists’ dolls and play dolls of uncompromising quality. Founded and directed by Sonja Hartmann
Doll artist Sonja Hartmann is internationally known for both her own designs and the development and production of dolls for other artists. She looks back on almost 30 years of experience in making dolls and enjoys creating new designs for children's play dolls and for collectible dolls.
In 2009 Sonja Hartmann presented her play doll line "Kidz'n'Cats" at international fairs and shows for the first time.
These 46 cm (18 inch) vinyl play dolls feature fully sculpted bodies and 9 ball joints (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees) to take on a variety of different poses. Their outfits are fresh and cool, fashionable and up to date - like today's children love to dress themselves.
The play dolls, the outfits and the accessories have been tested by independent internationally recognized laboratories and comply with the European Directive for Toys (EN 71; 1, 2, 3) for children 3 years and up and may bear the CE sign. They are free from phthalates and azo-dyes.
As with all our products, 'Baby Me Collectors' Club' dolls as well as the 'Kidz 'n' Cats' play dolls will be produced under the careful supervision of Sonja Hartmann. For an artists' doll's body and clothing natural material are used whenever possible. Wigs are often hand-knotted and made of human hair, mohair or kanekalon. Both collectible and play dolls are largely made by hand with loving attention to detail.
Sonja Hartmann has never been satisfied with less than the best when it comes to design, materials, manufacture and presentation. Her insistence on highest quality is visible in the dolls she shows here.
The dolls will be sold in selected stores but may also be purchased through our Online Shop - www.dolltraditions.com .
...and as with everything else, true success comes only from commitment, honesty, and a firm belief in the people you work with. In other words, from dedicating yourself “with heart and soul”.
